About Us

The Christian Life Bible School is a ministry of Christian Life Frankston.

Christian Life Frankston was founded about 35 years ago by the late Ivor Marshall. Ivor had led a number of people to the Lord and was associated with Life Centre Ministries. Life Centre Ministries was founded by the late Reverend Jack Lockwood in South Africa. Life Centre Ministries grew to be a world wide fellowship.

Our Purpose

With the plethora of resources available to Christians, you may wonder why another resource is needed. There are countless books, you can find limitless Christian material on the internet and there are countless sermons preached Sunday by Sunday. That's even before you get to TV and the Christian channels. However, God calls us and we obey. One would think that with so much information available, the body of Christ would be full of life, a shining light to the world and fully united in love. Yet there are about 40,000 denominations, despite the fact that the bible calls denominationalism "carnal". Division among the saints is catastrophic and robs us of the unity that brings about God's blessing (Psalm 133).

Curriculum

The following is the curriculum for the bible school. A list of bible references has been included. Students will find it helpful to look up the bible verses prior to attending the subject to be covered. The internet offers a great deal of help for Bible students. You will find “Bible Hub” most helpful.

Road to Emmaus

That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about 11 kilometres from Jerusalem. They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him.

Why Choose Us

At our Bible school, every aspect of our curriculum is grounded in Christian principles. Our dedicated faculty integrates biblical teachings with academic excellence, ensuring that students grow spiritually, intellectually, and morally.

01

Experienced and Committed Staff

“Peter is both principal and teacher for the Bible School. His ministry gift is teaching. He has decades of experience and in depth knowledge of the scriptures. Students will not have a merely academic program. We will teach principles that, if applied, will enable the believer to grow in grace and the knowledge of the truth. Rosemarie is the administrator and Peter’s invaluable helper. She has a number of spiritual gifts and offers wise counsel. She loves people and has a gift of encouragement.”

02

Biblical Foundation

It seems somewhat self-evident that the Bible should be the basis of a Bible School. What we mean is that we believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and that is the basis of all our teaching. We also believe that the written Word leads us to the “Living Word”, Jesus Christ the Lord. Small class sizes enable us to support and encourage students if necessary. We do not intend to replace the local church, but we are more than happy to help if the need arises.

03

We Serve the Body of Christ

The school is open to any believer who wants to grow in Christ. We are a supplement to other ministries. We have no denominational bias. We seek to encourage believers in their faith, not to indoctrinate them into a particular stream of Christian thought. Our school emphasizes the importance of fellowship, prayer, and service, building lasting relationships grounded in faith.” There are a number of contentious doctrines in Christendom. We much prefer to “agree to disagree” where possible. We do not demand that students conform to our point of view. Having said that, there are fundamental truths that believers should know and accept. We are happy to discuss any concerns that potential students may have.. Our school emphasizes the importance of fellowship, prayer, and service, building lasting relationships grounded in faith.

The school does not have an "open door" policy.Places are limited. There is no cost to attend.

The Christian Life website is a resource for the Body of Christ.

We need our spiritual eyes opened to see the risen Christ and to know Him better.

JESUS IN GENESIS

What is traditionally called, 'The Old Testament', Jesus called Scripture. The New Testament had yet to be written and the gospels were among the last books committed to papyrus. The early church had the OT and the teachings of the Apostles. About a third of the NT consists of quotes from the OT. This series attempts, by God's grace, to reveal Jesus in various books of the OT (but not all).

The Life

The first place that we find Jesus is in Creation itself. John 1:3 'Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.…' Genesis 1:27 tells us that God made man in His own image.

The Seed of the Woman

We know the sorry story of man's disobedience in the Garden of Eden and the tragic consequences. Adam committed high treason. He followed the suggestions of God's enemy, Satan and so he himself became God's enemy.

The Promised Son

There is a great deal written about Abraham. His life is covered in Chapters 12 to 25 of Genesis, out of 50 chapters in total. He is the ultimate example of faith and known as the friend of God.
